Netolice in its historical landscape – pedestrian educational trail

The so-called small circuit is formed by pedestrian educational trail approximately 3 km long that will lead you through important cultural monuments of Netolice. It is marked by Green tourist mark and has 16 stops with information panels in three languages bearing the sign of Rožmberk rose.

Netolice in its historical landscape – cycling educational trail

The long circuit of the educational cycling trail is designed to connect different historical sights of the attractive Netolicko region. It is about 50 km long and has several turnings leading towards isolated sights and a one-way circuit around the Malovice pond. The route terrain is not difficult and leads on local roads. It is possible to divide the itinerary into several smaller stages with Netolice and Podroužek campsite in their center; therefore it is also suitable for families with children. The cycling trail is marked with the sign of rose (which used to be the crest sign of the Rožmberk family) and offers 16 stops with informational panels. Major part of the route passes through the former Rožmberk game preserve, established in the 16th century. This park serves as a unique example of preserved historical landscape of southern Bohemia with number of ancient ponds. You can also find prehistoric sights, examples of folk architecture, gothic and baroque architecture or the Kratochvíle castle – national cultural monument. Long-distance cycling trails in directions of Hluboká nad Vltavou, Holašovice, Český Krumlov, Prachatice,Vodňany and Vlachovo Březí cross this route in its different stages.

Some useful information before you go:
Accommodation and refreshment facilities on the route are in Netolice, Němčice, Lhenice and year-round also in Podroužek restaurant and campsite. Grocery stores and seasonal pubs are located in Krtely, Malovičky, Mahouš, Němčice, Babice and in a kiosk by the Kratochvíle castle.
Bike rental is in Podroužek campsite and in Netolice, I. Bike Penzion Cirkl in Václavská Street.
