Senior home POHODA, promoted by the city of Netolice, was built between the years 2000–2002 as a substitute for old people’s home in Prachatice monastery. The home is situated on a quiet and pleasant site of the town preserve in Staré Město with a good possibility of walks. Accommodation and operations are placed in four stories. There is kitchen and dining hall on the ground floor. Connection between separate stories is provided by a lift for 10 persons. The home is designed for ambulant inhabitants and has no nursing ward. It offers 84 beds in single and double bedrooms and two above standard double bedroom apartments with two beds and a kitchen unit. All rooms are equipped with sanitary facilities including shower (among few the sanitary facility is shared by two rooms), fridge, TV connection and a telephone right next to bed. The home is divided into five independent sections, each equipped by a clubroom furnished with comfortable sitting suite, television, kitchen unit and a balcony. Each section as well has a large bathroom with convertible bathtub and lifting mechanism. Amount of services is supplied by rehabilitation, ergo therapy, hairdresser, café and a wide offer of cultural and social activities.

Senior home POHODA provides to its inhabitants all services according to the law 100/1988 Sb. about social attendance. Payments for the stay obey the regulation Nr. 82/1993 Sb. about payments for stay in facilities with social care. The price for the stay includes payments for meals, housing, necessary service (laundry and cleaning) and health care.
